Life can be complicated, and the most loving solutions aren't always the most obvious. I've been an Oregon attorney since 1992, and I practice exclusively in the areas of estate planning, estate administration and probate, elder law and dispute resolution within these disciplines. Please enjoy my website. I hope you'll use it to find out a little bit about me and glean some useful information from the resources here.
Using a variety of techniques, I can assist you in achieving your estate planning goals, from minimizing taxes to protecting a surviving spouse or disabled child to providing for a grandchild's education to leaving a charitable gift .
HOW WE CAN HELP
When a dispute about an estate or elder law issue can't be resolved, I protect clients' rights in court. I represent clients in disputes regarding estates, trusts, guardianships, conservatorships, elder abuse and related litigation.
Distributing a loved one's estate should not be a major source of frustration. I work with clients to map out a step-by-step plan, ensuring that everyone involved is well-informed and that all legal requirements are met so that personal representatives and trustees are protected from liability.
Sometimes a court appoints someone to make decisions for an adult who cannot protect his or her own health, safety or finances. I represent guardians and conservators as well as persons under court protection or those who object to or wish to modify the terms of a guardianship or conservatorship.
More than two-thirds of Americans will need some form of long-term care, and many people rely on Medicaid to pay for some or all of their care. As part of my practice of elder law in Portland, Oregon, I help clients plan to qualify for Medicaid while protecting healthy spouses and avoiding pitfalls that can increase costs or delay benefits.
